Haiti - Politics : «The opposition knows where it is going» dixit J-C Moïse
On Wednesday in a press conference, the former candidate defeated at the presidency Jean Charles Moïse, the leader of the opposition party "Pitit Desalin" announced changes and new dates of demonstrations against the power in place.
Demonstrations in the South on Saturday 14 October, in the Metropolitan Region on Sunday 15, in the North on Monday 16 October and a general mobilization throughout the country on Tuesday 17 October.
He said that this is the last phase of the mobilization to overthrow the team in power and asserted to his detractors that "the opposition clearly knows where it goes" stating that after the "resignation" of President Jovenel Moïse , the opposition will set up a Council of State composed of 11 members. 1 for each department and 1 for the diaspora. This Council would be entrusted with the task of realizing the States-General of the Nation with a view to solving the real structural problems...
For his part Shiller Louidor, of Fanmi Lavalas announces an intensification of the mobilization on the whole territory.
If the tone rises in the opposition, recent demonstrations seem to have more and more difficulty mobilizing large crowds, while the police multiply their interventions against the violent drifts of these so-called "peaceful" marches.
