Tires inflamed in front of the Ministry of the Economy

On Friday morning, employees of the Vehicle Insurance Agency Against Tiers (OAVCT) laid off, demonstrated front the Ministry of Economy. The protestors erected barricades of inflamed tires blocking traffic. They demand their reinstatement claiming to be victims and not the ones responsible for the mismanagement of the OAVCT.

National Ethnology Office under construction

Since September 26, 2017, ethnographic rooms and warehouses are under construction at the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE). In the meantime, the work of safeguarding and conservation of the heritage continues, archaeological pieces are transported and placed in storage in the BNE warehouses. The task does not stop there, as of next week the archaeologists of the BNE will start to inventory these pieces.

The CFI at the Cancún Business Forum

Mrs. Tessa Jacques, Director of the Center for Investment Facilitation (CFI), represented Haiti and participated in a panel discussion on "regional integration" at the most important Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean in Cancún (Mexico) which aims to strengthen the integration of global value chains and diversify business opportunities. The objective of this Forum is that all countries in the region participate and use the Forum as a trading platform to create a win-win strategy for all.

OMRH assessment and prospects

Friday at the Primature , Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant received Josué Pierre-Louis, the General Coordinator of the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) to present the results of the OMRH action plan from April to September 2017 and to identify the prospects and the main orientations for the financial year 2017-2018, a few hours before the OMRH retreat date from 29 September to 2 October 2017.
