Haiti - Humanitarian : $170,000 donated by the Sean Penn Organization 03/09/2017 10:01:10
The J/P Haitian Relief Organization (J/P HRO) of the American actor Sean Penn, in the presence of representatives of Delmas City Council and the Ministry of Public Health, organized a donation ceremony at its Community Development Center located in Delmas 40 B. With a value of more than 170,000 US dollars, these donations consist of hospital beds, maternity and orthopedic surgical intervention kits, delivery tables, laboratory equipment and inputs, materials and equipment for internal medicine, emergency drugs, solutes, equipment for sterilization among others. These donations have been distributed to governmental bodies and community centers working in the field of health in the metropolitan area: Hospital la Paix (Delmas 33), Maternity Isaïe Jeanty (Chancerelles), Clinic Desrivières (Delmas 9), Medican Clinic of Delmas 17, Clinic Saint Martin 1 (Delmas 3), Delmas Town Hall, Hospital Saint Paul (Delmas 32) and the Charity for Community Development (OBDC - Laboule 12). "With this gesture, the HRO hopes once again to demonstrate its continued commitment to the people of Delmas and the country in general; and that we remain a partner, a friend on whom Haiti can always count," said Margarett Lubin National Director a.i of the J/P HRO. Recall that the J/P HRO is an actor of Community Health in Delmas 32, where it has a dental clinic and a community clinic offering among others, care for children under 5 years, including the immunization service. It also participates in the prevention of diabetes, syphilis and HIV, as well as water-borne diseases such as cholera.
