This new meeting focused on how to revitalize Haitian-Taiwanese cooperation around major development projects for the Moïse-Lafontant Administration.
Minister Fleurant reminded Ambassador Cheng-hao Hu of the government orientations on cooperation envisaged today in the framework of a new paradigm explaining that "According to the will expressed by the Head of State, the revitalization of Cooperation must be based on major development projects that can benefit partners. This should be reflected in bilateral relations between Haiti and Taiwan. Poverty affecting the country must necessarily pass through the establishment of a new partnership, without rejecting the offer or other similar facilities."
For his part, Ambassador Cheng-hao Hu said he was ready to work with the Haitian Government in its quest for development and promised to pass the Taiwanese government's the new vision of cooperation made by the Haitian authorities.
