Monday at the National Palace, 14 days before the start of the class, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant, brought together all the state actors concerned by the start of classes, scheduled for September 4th.

Josué Agénor Cadet (Education), Max Rudolph Saint-Albin (Interior), Jude Alix Patrick Salomon (Finance), Régine Lamur (Youth), Roosevelt Bellevue (Social), Fritz Caillot (Public Works), the Secretary of State for Public Security Ronsard St Cyr, the Directors of the Metropolitan Service for the Collection of Solid Waste (SMCRS), the Social Assistance Fund (CAS), the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Director of Traffic and Road Police (DCPR), the Dignité School Transport Service and the Social and Economic Assistance Fund (FAES).

The Head of State reiterated the need to set up for the benefit of parents and students, emergency programs, subsidy strategies and staffing of textbooks and various other initiatives such as the rehabilitation of signage and road infrastructure, opening up and lighting the streets, sanitation, free transportation of students and the provision of a daily hot meal to students as part of the National School Canteen Program (PNCS) .

The President asked all the actors involved in the start of the school year to take all the measures that can guarantee a new school year in a serene and work-friendly atmosphere.

He added that the books printed by the editions "Kopi Vit" and "Pédagogies nouvelles" among others are available.
