Haiti - Health : Relaunch of the Community Reference Hospital Project in Ouanaminthe

Aviol Fleurant, the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation and Marie Gréta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health held a working meeting on the relaunch of the construction file of the Community Reference Hospital (HCR) of Ouanaminthe.

Following this meeting, a request for disbursement of 20 million gourdes was sent to the Minister of the Economy and Finance for the implementation work.

Note that this ultramodern hospital estimated at $8 million, is co-financed by the Mexican State to the tune of 6 million and for 2 million by the Haitian Public Treasury https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17449-haiti-mexico-$7m-hospital-project-in-ouanaminthe.html

It should be noted that this project is included in the public investment program 2016-2017 rectified as well as in the draft budget law 2017-2018. In the framework of the latter, a budget line "Development of the border strip" has been entered for the financing of major infrastructure projects.
