The Head of State at the head of a delegation composed of Chancellor Antonio Rodrigue and his Chief of Staff Wilson Laleau was welcomed at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport by the Haitian Ambassador to Washington, Paul Altidor and the Consul General of Haiti in Miami, Gandy Thomas.

This important meeting was held in the framework of the strengthening of the bilateral relations between the two countries. The issue of strengthening of Haitian institutions was also discussed. Vice President Pence promised to help Haiti strengthen its National Police, including the Coast Guard unit.
