Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico (SRE) and the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities of Haiti (MICT) confirmed that the Government of Mexico had officially handed over a container of 13 tons (361 boxes) of humanitarian aid for victims of Hurricane Matthew and the latest bad weather.

This includes medicines, clothing, non-perishable food, medical supplies (gas compresses, syringes, etc.) donations from Mexican citizens, businesses and institutions following the call of the Mexican Chancellery and the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico, whose objective was to support the Haitian population affected.

Thanks to the disinterested support of the national airline "Aeroméxico", this aid was sent free of charge to Port-au-Prince, in coordination with the Embassies of Mexico and Haiti.
