Haiti - Reconstruction : Launch of work to rehabilitate the former premises of the RNH

On Tuesday, Calvin Cadet, the Director General of the Ministry of Communication, participated in the ceremony to launch the rehabilitation works of the former premises of the National Radio of Haiti (RNH), located at the Rue du Magasin de l'Etat, which was severely affected by the 2010 earthquake and unfortunately been abandoned.

This ceremony took place in the presence of several executives and employees of the RNH who did not hide their emotions and their total satisfaction in the hope of finding a suitable place for the regular functioning of this State media.

In his remarks for the occasion, the Director General of the RNH, Marc K. Exavier, praised the efforts of all sectors in order to make this dream a reality. He took the opportunity to point out that this ceremony symbolizes not only a renewal for the National Radio of Haiti, but also the hope of a strengthening of activities in downtown Port-au-Prince. The RNH will resume its place with all the structures needed to better serve, affirmed Calvin Cadet.

These works, financed by the Public Treasury to the tune of 12 million Gourdes, is entrusted to the executing agency RACO S.A. and will last 12 months.
