Haiti - Culture : 19th edition of the Book and Culture Festival in Carrefour

The College of Côte-Plage is organizing its 19th edition of the Feast of the Book and Culture on Sunday, May 7th. This year, this festival coincides with the 204th anniversary of the founding of the city of Carrefour. For the occasion, the College has teamed up with the Carrefour Town Council to extend the Book Fair to the entire school community. May 7 was declared by communal decree "Book, Culture and Heritage Day in Carrefour".

Activity of the day :

Book walk :

Several dozen students from different schools in the commune will take a walk with a book in hand, which will hand over to the Mayor of Carrefour as the first steps towards the constitution of a municipal library.

Book fair :

Different publishing houses will be on site to offer their books to the public : Kopivit, the action sociale ; the editions Hachette-Deschamps ; the editions Miroir ; C3 édition ; the editions of Canapé-Vert ; the editions Choucoune ; Communication + ; Chevelin Illustration and Joh-ad Collection.

Craft Fair :

More than a dozen artisans and painters will be on site to promote their works.

Gastronomic Fair :

Participants will also have the opportunity to sample or purchase locally made foods and products.

Animations :

Various entertainment by guest artists and schoolchildren

The College of Côte-Plage and the Town Hall of Carrefour count on your participation in large numbers to make this event a real success.
