Haiti - Technology : Solar energy arrives in houses of Panyol

The Dr. Louis G. Lamothe Foundation (FLGL) and Digicel's RE-Volt company install a solar kit in some fifty households in Panyol (Kenscoff).

Energy is the fourth priority of action put forward by the Panyol actors on the road to the social transformation of the community. People do not have access to electricity to get information, to be connected constantly to the planet, to light up their homes, create wealth and enhance the quality of education.

The FLGL is partnering with RE-Volt, in a first phase of experimentation, in order to make it easier for families to learn about the connection with the world for a transformation of the community.

Read more about the Re-Volt Company :

"Re-Volt", a company launched by Marteen Boute, the CEO of the DIGICEL Company, offers solar products that provide electricity to Haitian families in rural areas. Customers pay a monthly subscription of 250 Gourdes in exchange of the nrestricted use of the facility. The kit includes solar panels, batteries with USB plugs and several bulbs.
