Haiti - Culture : 17 Haitian and foreign writers pay homage to victims
The Haitian government, through the Ministry of Culture, the National Directorate of the Book and 17 Haitian writers, will honor the victims, the survivors and heroes, each of us in a reading show this January 11, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the court of the Television Nationale d'Haiti (TNH). This reading show will be broadcast live on TNH.

Some passages from 17 Haitian and foreign writers, all present during the earthquake, specially wrote to mark the January 12, will be readed by actors. These readings will be interspersed with songs performed by Wooly Saint-Louis Jean Desire Renette and Nadège Dugravil.

Georges Castera, Yanick Lahens, Dany Laferrière, Franketienne, James Noël, Louis-Philippe Dalembert, Syto Cavé, Emmelie Prophète, Avin, Gary Victor, Jean-Euphèle Milcé, Lyonel Trouillot, Claude Pierre, Rodney Saint-Eloi, Evelyne Trouillot, Kettly Mars, Michel Lebris, Thomas Spear... have taken again the speech or pen, in order to honor and talk about what we experienced during 2010.
