According to some reports, the ministerial cabinet may have been amended to facilitate a vote of confidence by senators.

Senator Dieudonne Luma Étienne, Secretary of the Bureau of the Upper House, said that negotiations on the ratification or not of the Prime Minister were finally able to end up between the protagonists in order to unblock the situation stressing however that the data can still change in the next hours...

Senator Alfredo Antoine (KID, ally of the PHTK), finds it abnormal that senators and deputies negotiate their vote against positions of ministers or directorates of deconcentrated bodies for persons of their choice, stressing that at this moment what counts the most is to have "a government that can accompany President Jovenel Moïse so that he is able to materialize his campaign promises."
