The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) congratulates the civic sense and the political maturity displayed by the population, particularly among the popular strata in rural areas, who participated in large numbers in the elections of January 29, 2017.

This citizen participation ranging from 30% to 44.61% in 7 departments, has achieved to reach, at the national level, a average national participation rate of 27.44%.
