Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the other members of the "Core Group" (the Ambassadors of Brazil, Canada, France, Spain, United States of America, the European Union and the Special Representative of the Organization of American States) "welcome the swearing-in of President Jovenel Moïse as the 58th President of the Republic of Haiti and look forward to working with the new Head of State.

The "Core Group" congratulates the people of Haiti who showed patience and resolve in choosing their leaders and in demonstrating their commitment to democracy and the electoral process, which has been ongoing for nearly two years.
