Haiti - Elections : New accusations of Lavalas against an elected senator of PHTK

The Fanmi Lavalas Party, after the failure of its challenge to remove the elected Senator Wilfrid Gelin (PHTK) for among other things a supposed dual nationality https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19918-haiti-flash-cep-s-decision-on-senator-wilfrid-gelin-phtk.html ; via one of his losing candidates, Fanmi Lavalas recidivates once again...

Fritz Carlos Lebon a candidate in the Senate defeated under the banner Fanmi Lavalas in the department of the South, whose victory was won by Pierre François Sildor of the PHTK, goes on the offensive by filing a complaint to the CEP.

He accuses elected Senator Sildor of being a Canadian citizen and having made a false statement to the CEP when he registered, by hiding his dual citizenship. He supported his accusation on teh fact that Pierre François Sildor would have been the Coordinator for Canada in Haiti and responsible for Haiti of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), functions that according to him, can only be exercised by a citizen Canadian, an affirmation supposedly confirmed by the former Haitian consul in New York, Yvon Feuillé.

However, so far this supposed dual nationality has not been officially confirmed by the Embassy of Canada.

For his part, Senator Sildor has swept away these accusations, claiming that this is the maneuver of a bad loser who does not benefit from the popular vote.

This Friday, the CEP should audition in his offices of Petion-ville Senator Sildor to shed light on these charges against him.
