Haiti - Politics : Tour of the President elected in the Town halls of the metropolitan area
n Thursday, a few days before his swearing-in on February 7, President-elect Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by his wife Martine, paid a courtesy visit to the Port-au-Prince Town Hall where he was received by the Principal Mayor, Ralph Youri Chevry and one of his deputies, Mrs. Kettyna Bellabe.
This meeting was an opportunity for Mayor Chevry to summarize the vision of the Municipal Administration of Port-au-Prince so that the Municipality can offer another image worthy of its history and reputation of yesteryear. The President-elect and Mayor Chevry have agreed to fully cooperate for the good of the community.
On the same day, the future presidential couple continued their tour in the various municipalities of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince visiting the town halls of Kenscoff, Pétion-Ville, Delmas, Tabarre, Croix des Bouquets, Cité Soleil and of Carrefour.
During his tour Jovenel Moïse expressed to the mayors his will to accompany them in their actions and assured them of the commitment of his administration to implement the public policies of development within the framework of the decentralization, to put definitively the country on the road to modernity for the benefit of all citizens.
