«A successful election day» dixit Berlanger

Sunday, at the press conference of the CEP at the end of the day, Léopold Berlanger, the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) declared that "[...] we can say that it is a successful election day, apart from some incidents that we can consider as serious in envions a dozen voting centers out of 1,534. What has happened in the country today we can consider that this is progress that the country has made in the march towards democracy, political stability and the institutionalization of democracy [...]"

Serious electoral incident

Inspector Gary Desrosiers, deputy spokesman for the Haitian National Police (PNH) said yesterday Haiti's election day, the Deputy of Grande Rivière du Nord, accompanied by heavily armed men, broke into the Voting Centre Notre-Dame of Lourdes before leaving with the ballots of this Centre.

Participation rate of voter very low
