Haiti - FLASH : 2nd round Senators, voting intentions (BRIDES Poll)
The polling firm BRIDES, has just published its second national opinion poll on voter intentions by department for the election of 8 candidates to the Senate (to complete the last third of the Senate) and 1 candidate to the deputation (resumption).

This survey was conducted with an unweighted random sample of 20,000 people scattered across the 100 electoral districts of the 8 Geographic Departments at a rate of 200 persons per electoral district. The choice of these individuals was made according to a two-stage draw, the first of which was the selection of clusters of households or Enumeration Sections (SDE) and at the second-degree the households were chosen within the SDE at the rate of 50 by SDE. The 20,000 households were thus drawn from 400 SDEs (4*100). Within each household a person 18 years of age and over is randomly selected according to the Kish method.

The results obtained from an unweighted sample of 20,190 persons were then extrapolated to the whole of each department by weighting the results found at the constituency level by the weight in terms of the size of the population aged 18 and over estimated within each electoral district in the total population of the geographic department under study.

The margin of error estimated for a candidate in the Senate at the level of the Department is 1.5 to 2%.
