Haiti - Politics : Jude Célestin and Moïse Jean-Charles unite against the President-elect

Wednesday, former presidential candidates Jude Célestin and Moïse Jean-Charles, as well as several senators and deputies including Printemps Bélizaire (Lavalas) in his own name and not in the Lavalas Party, united to launch an opposition movement called "Democratic Sector reunited".

According to Moïse Jean-Charles, this movement is not a political platform or an alliance of losing candidates, but the regrouping of political leaders and people's organizations of various horizons who reject the "electoral coup". He affirms that the democratic sector does not intend to leave the country in the hands of Jovenel Moïse stressing that it was not only a step to block the investiture of Jovenel Moïse but also to thwart the international community...

The former campaign leader of the candidate defeated Jude Célestin, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé,tried to make believe that this movement had not been formed to fight the elected President Jovenel Moïse but to safeguard the democratic gains...

While Jovenel Moïse is preparing to be invested in his duties as head of Haiti, this opposition movement is mobilizing to try to prevent the PHTK team from taking the reins of power. A move that will undoubtedly be the opposition for 5 years of Jovenel Moïse after his investuture on February 7th.

This Thursday, LAPEH, "Pitit Dessalin" and Famni Lavalas, organize a peaceful march in the streets of Port-au-Prince to denounce the victory of Jovenel Moïses taht they qualify with a single voice of "electoral coup".
