Haiti - Tourism : Towards the redevelopment of Public Beach facilities

The Ministers Abel Nazaire (Youth) and Guy Didier Hyppolite (Tourism) recently carried out a technical visit to the Public Beach on the Côte des Arcadins as part of a partnership between the two ministries for a better use of the space and the promotion of the practice of seaside sports in Haiti.

For the Minister Nazaire "It is essential to improve the facilities and transform the image of the Public Beach by offering more attractions to the public in general and to young people in particular [...]"

His colleague of Tourism agrees in the same sense seeing in this project "A platform that sells the destination Haiti" he conceives the redevelopment of the Public Beach as "the global organization of an attractive recreation space highlighting gastronomy, crafts and Haitian culture," affirming that "tourists in search of leisure and discovery must have a sample of Haitian culture at the level of the Public Beach."

For its part, Jean Paul Weberns Monfort, Director of the Public Beach, believes it necessary that arrangements be made following this visit in order to offer young people an attractive space, generating profits for the benefit of the sector.

At the end of the visit, Minister Nazaire sent instructions to the Infrastructure and Facilities Unit of his Ministry to work with the technical units of the Ministry of Tourism to submit a complete dossier on the redevelopment of Public Beach facilities for a better use of this seaside resort for the benefit of the population, the youth and the tourists.
