Haiti - Education : Installation of IGAENF inspectors

Thursday morning, took place the inauguration of the 5 Inspectors General of the General Inspectorate of the National Education and Vocational Training Administration (IGAENF), during a ceremony presided over by Jean Beauvois Dorsonne, Minister of National Education.

Recall that the IGAENF is a new structure of the Ministry of Education, which is expected to play a key role in the governance of the education sector, notably to ensure the strategic monitoring of the functioning of the education system and to verify the conformity of the actions of the various actors to the prescribed standards.

The five Inspectors General (IG) are irremovable and appointed for 6 years. They are divided into permanent and specialized groups : Teaching and evaluation, Support to schools, Management administration of the education system, Administration and financial management and Management of human and material resources. They are : Louis Délima (IG to the administration), Gustave Joseph (IG to the frameworks of schools), Booz Philippe Pierre (IG Management of human and material resources), Pléteau Jackson (IG Education) and Alliance Carole (IG financial management).

Minister Dorsonne welcomed the implementation of this initiative, to which several of these predecessors have contributed for the advancement of educational reform and invited the Inspectors to get to work without delay, as many challenges await them.
