In a note from the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), Uder Antoine, the Executive Director informs "the general population, political parties, political groups and candidates for the presidency in particular" that due to the verification process and the different phases of the electoral dispute "the publication of the final results of the November 20 presidential election, scheduled for Thursday, December 29, 2016, is postponed to Tuesday, January 3, 2017."

Concerning the results of the complementary legislative elections and the 1/3 Senate he indicates "the results of the complementary Legislative (Senators) and those of the third of the Senate, will be published progressively from 29 December 2016 [...]"
