Wednesday in Tangiers, Morocco, at the 9th edition of the MEDays 2016 International Forum, the MEDays Award of Solidarity to the People of Haiti, was awarded by the Amadeus Institute to former Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe.

Brahim Fassi Fihri, President of the Amadeus Institutewhile presenting this Award, declared "Through this Award of Solidarity, awarded to a statesman who works to improve the living conditions of his fellow citizens and puts his know-how for the benefit of the most needy, we salute the resilience and courage of the Haitian people and call on the international community to give the necessary support to the Haitian government to recover and to know the way of emergence."
