Haiti - Justice : Me Anel Alexis Joseph passed away

In a note, de facto President Jocelerme Privert says he learned "with great sadness, the news of the death of Me Anel Alexis Joseph, on Friday, December 9, 2016, occurred in New York where he was hospitalized.

On his behalf, in that of the Government and the Haitian people, the Head of State presents his most sincere condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Me Anel Alexis Joseph.

With this death, it is a worthy son that the Republic sees extinct. Lawyer and top civil servant, Me Anel Alexis Joseph leaves a void in the landscape of Haitian values. President Privert salutes the journey and memory of this servant of Haitian justice."

Recall that Me Anel Alexis Joseph, career magistrate, received the investiture as President of the Court of Cassation, then as President of the "Superior Council of the Judiciary" (CSPJ) under the Martelly Government.
