Nicolas Calderon, the administrator of the Dominican Economic Restaurants (Comedores Económicos) confirmed having delivered in Les Cayes, on board a boat of the Coast Guard (Orion 109) of the Dominican Navy, more than 80,000 rations of food raw and cooked.

The mayor of Les Cayes, Maria Claudette Regis, received 75,000 rations raw and cooked and 5,000 volunteers from the Haitian Red Cross also received rations to be distributed.

The mayor of Les Cayes and representatives of relief organizations appreciated and thanked the gesture of solidarity of the Dominican government that responds to a promise to the people of Haiti of Dominican President Danilo Medina.
