Wednesday, as part of the assistance of the Dominican Government in Haiti, following the passage of Matthew, Category 4 hurricane https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18903-haiti-flash-a-convoy-of-500-vehicles-arrives-from-dr.html , a convoy of trucks of Economic Restaurants (Comedores Económicos) Dominican took to the road yesterday for Haiti.

These trucks carry 25,000 dry food rations and has food supplies to produce 1.5 million hot meals. Nicolas Calderon, Director of Economic Restaurants stated that this aid stood so far to nearly $1.5 million.

Iris Guaba, the Director of the social plan of the Presidency, said the convoy was also carrying more than 30,000 sausage, water, pica pica, cookies and juice pouch, which can be eaten without cooking.
