Jude Célestin came second (22.48% and 241.462 votes) in the first round of the presidential election of November 28, behind Mirlande Manigat (31.37% and 336.878 votes), but tens of thousands of people demonstrate in Haiti since the proclamation of results Tuesday disputing his "fraudulent victory" and the exclusion of the candidate Michel Martelly with only 0.64% of difference.

Jude Célestin told to trust the Provisional Electoral Council and other actors involved in the process as the OAS, CARICOM and the UN "We believe that the electoral contestation can not be done with the destruction, we ask that you remain quiet, but mobilized throughout the country because we will legally defend your vote", said Célestin.

The INITE candidate, whose party headquarters was burned in the capital Port-au-Prince, has denounced "those who were irresponsible and want to cause trouble in the country without consideration for children who do not attend the school and for cholera patients", posing as the defender of citizens victime of the political crisis...

The Haitian Electoral Council announced Thursday that he would "initiate a procedure exceptional of verification" of the results. This mechanism concerns Mr. Celestin, Ms. Manigat and Michel Martelly, ousted in the second round and whose many partisans manifested these last days.

A hypocritical appeal for calm, while on Thursday, on the Champ de Mars, one person was killed and at least seven wounded by gunfire by men on a motorcycle, at the time which was preparing an anti-Preval demonstration. Several testimonies consistent, have said that the gunmen were wearing T-shirts of INITE...

The responsible for the violence and the state of crisis in the country is not the sole responsibility of the Martelly supporters, that he accuses without quoting them...
