Thursday, as part of construction project of 100 schools in Haiti initiated in November 2011 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-4144-haiti-education-100-new-schools-ready-for-the-new-school-year-2012.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14310-haiti-education-idb-is-financing-the-construction-of-100-new-schools.html and a partnership between the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) and the Fund for Economic and Social Assistance (FAES), with technical and financial support from international donors including among others the Inter-American Bank development Bank (IDB) and the Canadian Cooperation and Switzerland was held the inauguration of six public schools.

These new educational infrastructure in the Nippes and Southeast : School Cité Lumière (Jacmel), School Colin (Jacmel), School Mayette (Côte de Fer), School Brossard (Anse-à-Veau), School Pascal (Plaisance des Nippes) and School Masson (Paillant), also fall within the framework of the Operational Plan 2010-2015 of the Ministry and of support program of the sectoral plan and reform of education in Haiti.
