Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the Minustah praised the "Young Journalist Award in Haiti" radio press category, awarded by the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF) on Thursday September 22 to Luckson Saint-Vil, reporter and presenter at the Minustah FM radio.

"I want to congratulate Luckson St. Vil for his excellent work and for the 'Young Journalist Award in Haiti' just decerned to him by the IOF [...] It is also a recognition of the importance of Minustah FMin the media landscape in Haiti. The media are essential in any democracy and more in Haiti at the time of elections because they help ensure that all Haitians will have made an informed choice when they will vote to decide on a new future," declared Sandra Honoré.

This Awardwhose the theme this year was "solidarity" rewarded Luckson Saint-Vil for his story "Konbit Solèy Leve a model of solidarity in Cité Soleil"

Luckson Saint-Vil was born on 6 December 1988 in Port-au-Prince; he joined MINUSTAH FM in January 2010 after having worked for Radio Maximum and Radio Vasco Stereo.

Journalist and student of Communication Sciences and Public Relations to the Episcopal University of Haiti (UNEPH) he is today a reporter and presenter of the Minustah FM.
