Haiti - Politic : Round table around of industrial micro-parks in the country

This Tuesday morning, to the Convention Centre of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) in the presence of Prime Minister Enex Jean Charles, Jessy Petit-Frère, the Minister of Commerce and Industry (MCI) proceeded to the opening of a round table on implementation of industrial micro-parks in Haiti. This activity falls within the framework of the visit of a large delegation of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-18672-icihaiti-economy-launch-of-the-unido-mission.html

This round table, organized by MCI will enable a fruitful discussion between the members of the delegation of UNIDO and key players involved in the industry in Haiti. It will seek to obtain the support of the main Haitian industrial players both at public and private level, to validate the concept of industrial micro-parks.

Recall that the visit of this important delegation of UNIDO follows a mission of the Minister Petit-Frère where she met Li Yong, Director General of UNIDO, and Carlos Chanduvi Suarez,Responsible for the sub-region of South America and the Caribbean. The Minister and senior officials of the organization had set a framework of cooperation between UNIDO and Haiti focusing on strengthening small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the definition of an industrial policy for Haiti.
