Haiti - Technology : Digital Economy Fair 2016

The 27 and 28 September at the Karibe Convention Center, will be held the Digital Economy Fair 2016 (SEN), around the central theme "The digital economy, accelerator of economic and social development in Haiti".

This fair is designed as a platform for exchange, information sharing, and meetings of stakeholders and consumers in the Technologies of Information and Communication sector both in Haiti and abroad, with panel discussions, workshops, round tables and B2B meetings.

Specific objectives of the SEN 2016 :

Promote Haitian products and services in the digital ;

Promote equipment, facilitating mechanisms for the development of the digital economy in Haiti ;

Present the potential of the digital economy ;

Sensitize major industry players on the urgency to establish a favorable ecosystem for the development of the digital economy in Haiti.

From the central theme, a series of sub-themes will be proposed including: the digital economy, innovation; public policy in the digital economy; the digital economy at the center of economic and social development; cybersecurity and cybercrime; BPO (Business Process Outsourcing); crowdfunding; electronic payment systems and intellectual property.

During the fair there will be a series of workshops: 3D printing demonstration, TNT presentation stand, presentation stand of the University Radio, creation and registration of companies, Hackathon, brainstorming workshop on Digital and Energy, Roundtables, on Business Process Outsourcing and e-money (production and use)...
