Guy Didier Hyppolite, the Minister of Tourism officially dedicated the month of September 2016, Gastronomy Month in Haiti.

During this month, a number of culinary activities will be implemented including the 6th edition of the Festival "Taste and Flavors Lakay" that presents the best culinary talents of Haiti.

During this month, the Haitian culinary tradition and Haitian Chiefs from everywhere will share their recipes which will be a showcase of our culinary heritage.

The Minister Hyppolite stated "We want to make Haiti a culinary destination, take our place and be recognized in the world of gastronomy [...] Let's gather to celebrate, educate, promote and share our rich culinary heritage [...] We can not sell our country if we do not sell our culture, and we can not sell our culture if we do not sell our gastronomy."

10 septembre : Alain Lemaire present a Tapas to the Observatory ;

15-19 September : 6th Edition of the Festival "Taste and Flavors Lakay";

September 26 to 30 : Second season "Chef TV Show" ;

September 30 : The Blue Night at Boulevard Cap Haitien.

Social activities :

Congress of chefs - Upgrading of Chiefs (seminars, classes, training) - Diner volunteer for the poor - Caravan of Chiefs (10 departments) - Visit of the farmers - Visit of slaughterhouses - Visit of animal breeders

School and educational activities :

Health education in schools, accreditation of qualifications.

Social Networks 2016-2017 :

Promotional campaign on social networks Haitian Chiefs based overseas and revenues.
