Haiti - Sports : Visit of a global icon of Volleyball, of Haitian origin

Thursday at the Karibe Hotel in the presence of numerous personalities of the Haitian sports world in general and the Volleyball family in particular, Abel Nazaire, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, attended the welcome cocktail organized by the Haitian Federation of Volleyball in honor of Mireya Luis Hernandez Cuban athlete born of Haitian parents considered as the best volleyball player of all time, who launched her autobiography "Between Heaven and Earth".

The Minister Nazaire, on behalf of the Government and people of Haiti, said it was an honor and a great opportunity to receive Mireya Luis and her husband Humberto Gonzalez (former Minister of Cuban sports) and a great pride to have an icon of world sport of Haitian origin to present as model for youth of Haiti. Recall that Mireya Luis Hernandez was 3 times Olympic champion and holds several world and international titles.
