This defeat ends the Haitian dream to participate in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Starting lineup of Patrick Neveu :

Goalkeeper :

Steward Ceus

Belfort

From the beginning of the encounter the Grenadiers have imposed great pressure on the Costa Ricans, preventing them from imposing their style of play. So the men of Patrice Neveu and the protected of Oscar Ramirez spent most of the match chasing the ball.

However, the Ticos have finally found a flaw in the Haitian defense and scored the winning goal with a shot from 25 meters of Randall Azofeifa in the 72nd minute, which came to lodge in the Haitian nets [1-0]...

After this goal the Grenadiers were never able to worry the defense of Costa Rica. despite late changes (Fabien Vorbe and Roberto Louima) performed by Patrice Neveu whose it's the 6th consecutive defeat...

Yet the Grenadiers were volunteers in this game. In the first half but lacked aggressiveness. Among the satisfactions, it may be noted Charles Hérold Jr, who was invaluable in the construction of the game, even if he was a little lost in the second half, the central defender of Don Bosco Ricardo Adé undoubtedly the Haitian best on the field and Pierre Paulson who did speak his technique. Like all the team besides, we must also salute the performance of goalkeeper Stewart Céus.

Next event of the Grenadiers, Tuesday, September 6 in Kingston where they will play for honor, against Jamaica who has lost [2-0] Friday evening against Panama.
