Election, security meeting

Tuesday Camille Edouard Jr. Minister of Justice, has had an important working meeting with the new Secretary of State for Public Security, Colonel Himmler Rébu and the DG of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Michel-Ange Gédéon.

This session focused on the security of voters and candidates, before, during and after election day on October 9, 2016. The occasion for the Minister Édouard to exchange around the best strategy to adopt in order to allow the running, smoothly, of the next electoral competition. Emphasis was also placed on the safety of women involved in the electoral process.

Budget 2016-2017 prepared in violation of law ?

According to the Deputy Antoine Rodon Bien Aimé, President of the Commission "Economy and Finance" 2016-2017 the Finance bill is marred by irregularities and the budget has been prepared in violation of law. Calendar of draws of MBV

The Executive Directorate of the Provisional Electoral Council inform the general population, universities, schools, religions, socio-professional and cultural associations recognized, women's organizations, that in accordance with the articles 139.1 and following of the Electoral Decree, the draw for the recruitment of members of polling stations (MBV), will take place from 19 to 22 August 2016. The choice of MBV is done by draw at the headquarters of the Departmental Electoral Office (BED) and Communal (BEC), by city and by communal Section, in the presence of representatives of parties, political groups, candidates and electoral observation organizations.
