Haiti - Economy: The Lottery, has a gambling control brigade
Monday in order to meet its control duties, Marie Margareth Fortuné, he Director General of the Haitian State Lottery (LEH) launched a brigadiers training seminar, which will be responsible for collecting royalties, taxes on casinos, gaguerres and other gaming companies across the country.
Recruited by competition, almost 300 young people from throughout Haiti have benefited from this seminar for the new structure of LEH, taht should play the role of supervision and control of the operators who operate in this sector. This training aims to enable these "Brigadiers / Controllers" to do their job professionally.
To remember that for two months, the LEH made talking a lot of it, given the willingness of the new team to enforce the rules of the game. There are significant corporate debt towards the State while other gambling companies are not even registered stressed the Director of LEH. Four Departmental Directorates have been already installed and another four will soon open their door : the Artibonite, North, Northeast and Northwest.
Ms. Marie Margaret took the opportunity to send a strong signal to the industry of gambling, which developed without a real control of State authorities, emphasizing that the LEH now has a actual Brigade of inspection and control of gambling throughout the national territory.
