Haiti - Senate Election : Steven Benoit winner at the first turn ?

Former deputy Steven Benoit, Senate candidate for the Western Department, under the banner of Alternative platform was confident of winning the parliamentary elections of November 28.

He says, from copies of minutes (1) he has in his possession, that he has a strong lead over his main rival, former Senator Rudy Heriveaux, enough to win at the first turn. However, the candidate said he expected official results.

Regarding requests for annulation of elections by various candidates, Steven Benoit recognizes that in some places where elections were not until their term for various reasons, the CEP may decide an annulation , but this does not justify the cancellation of the entire process.

"The Democrats that I am aware that to gain power, elections are the only acceptable option," who argues that, among those calling for an annulation of elections, "Many are certain to lose."

(1)Remember there are 6 copies of each minutes. "One for the polling station, one for the communal elections office (BEC), one for the departemental elections office (BED), one for the leading candidate in the office, one for the second candidate and one for the CEP".
