Senator Dieupie Chérubin believes that President Privert is within its rights and has the authority to convene the people in elections.

Senator Steven Benoit also supporting the decision of President Privert, stressing he do it of fact (de facto) at the controls at National and he takes in this regard, commitments as Head of State. Affirming that Privert is and remains the head of the Executive until Parliament decides otherwise.

Schiller Louidor one of Fanmi Lavalas leaders welcomed the decision of the Head of State and said to believe that this decision will promote a return to constitutional normalcy through elections.

They criticize this announcement :

Jean Andre Victor, the Coordinator of the Patriotic Movement of Democratic Opposition (MOPOD) while recognizing the need for these elections, believes Privert put himself in a situation of illegality, which will will contribute to sink a little more the country in instability.
