Haiti - Elections : The CEP continues to implement the electoral timetable

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) recalls that it is Tuesday, June 28 at midnight at the latest that terminate registrations for the renewal of the third of the Senate. As of Monday, the CEP has received confirmation from 28 parties and groupings of political parties as part of this process initiated on 15 June.

Meanwhile, the technicians of the Directorate of the Electoral Registry (DRE) were spread across the 10 departments for training of technical staff at the Departmental Electoral Offices (BED) and Communal (BEC). These technicians are responsible to solve the problems of decentralized structures of the CEP in term of computing and technology.

The CEP informs that several other technical operations, such as the reform of the electoral machine, the rehabilitation of infrastructure operation and development of a new electoral security plan, is currently engaged in view of the upcoming elections.
