Haiti - Tourism : The shots against the Marriott threaten the tourism sector

In a note, the Tourism Association of Haiti (ATH) condemns the gun shots against the facade of one of its members, the Marriott Hotel in Port-au-Prince https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17835-haiti-flash-several-companies-including-the-marriott-riddled-with-bullets.html

"These acts against commercial companies are only activating the decline of our economy in general, while our tourism industry in full renaissance risks losing momentum and jeopardize all efforts, direct and indirect investments and jobs gained during these last years.

[...] The ATH request to the appropriate authorities of the State and the Government to take all necessary measures against such threats, prosecute and bring to justice those responsible for these acts and ensure the protection of operators so that the industry continues its growth and development.

[...] Social peace must be a priority for ALL so that economic growth and job creation are sustainable."
