In response Jude Célestin wrote "Wyclef Jean thank you for your endorsement of our vision of a prosperous Haiti where opportunities will be available to all."

Note that Jude Célestin had arrived in 2nd position during the 1st round of the disputed presidential election of October 25, 2015, where he obtained 394.390 votes (25.27% of the electorate), just behind his rival Jovenel Moïse of "Party Haitian Tèt Kale" (PHTK) arived 1st with 511.992 votes (32.31% of the electorate).

Let's recall that in 2010 the candidacy for President of Haiti, of Wyclef Jean was rejected because he had not lived in Haiti over the past five years and that his permanent residence was in New York...
