In the first period, from the eleventh minute of play Ecuador took advantage by opening the scoring with a goal of Enner Valencia [1-0] which has overtaken the Haitian defense and easily misled the Haitian goalkeeper Johny Placide. 9 minutes later Ecuador scored a second goal [2-0].

At halftime, the score was [2-0] in favor of Ecuador.

After the break Chistian Noboa (57') scored the 3rd goal for Ecuador face an overwhelmed Haitian defense and sinks again Grenadiers (78') scoring the 4th and last goal of the match [4-0].

For its first participation in the Copa America, Haiti lost its three matches, the Grenadiers have each time kept the shock for a period, before physically lose ground after the break.
