In a note, the Communication Office of the Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in Orlando reminds to the compatriots of Central Florida, that May 18, 2016 brings the 213th anniversary of the creation of the Haitian flag.

"Wednesday, May 18, the Consular Mission is partnering with AHCEFENA, Haitian American Art Network and District 6 Commissioner Samuel B. Ings and other Haitian community organizations in Central Florida and invite the friends and compatriots of Haiti in the various activities planned on the occasion of the Haitian bicolor celebration to be held in :

Central Florida Fairground at 4:00 p.m.

City Hall Council Chambers, 400 S. Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32802 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In addition, Saturday 21 May, the Haitian American Art Network and the District 6 Commissioner Samuel B. Ings invite the Haitian Community in a Parade, to be held at 10:00 a.m. at 1723 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32805.

The Consulate of Haiti in Orlando encourages all Haitians and friends of Haiti to come in large numbers to honor our national emblem."
