Haiti - Politic : The new DG of ONI promises of electoral lists updated
Monday, Camille Junior Edouard, the Minister of Justice has proceeded to the installation of Wilson Fièvre as new Director General of the National Identification Office (ONI). He takes over from Jean Baptiste St-Cyr in office since February 2012.
The Minister Edouard encouraged the new Director to work on a substantial improvement in the quality of services provided by the ONI especially at the level of the issuance of National Identification Cards (CIN).
In his remarks for the occasion Wilson Fièvre, while acknowledging the efforts of his predecessor, who have strengthened the ONI, stressed the need to make the necessary updates to the electoral list "Let me to turn towards our national and international collaborators on the fact that we will take steps to improve the information system of data of the ONI. Rest assured, I will make every effort to validate the electoral register, the reliability, accuracy of information, the precision in the flow of information inside and outside will be branched to finally allow the establishment of electoral lists [...] I give you the full assurance that a permanent update of data will have the merit to to contribute to ensuring the reliability of future elections."
