Thursday, the Divisional Commissioner Marc Wilkens Jean, spokesman of the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Haiti (IGPNH) during a review conference, recalled that between January 1 and March 16 th, 9 police officer were killed including 4 during the month of March. He stressed that thanks to the collaboration of the population and the efforts of the law enforcement to find the killers, seeking to destabilize the the security forces, the situation has calmed down a bit, encouraging people to continue collaborate by giving police all the information on situations that threaten public order.

The spokesman said that for the month of March 525 investigations relating to various offenses were opened, 41 citizen complaints were received.
