The Office of Monetization of Development Aid Programs (BMPAD), responsible for the management of the Petrocaribe agreement, wishes to reassure the population that "there will be no fuel shortage in Haiti" and take this opportunity to inform that it has received on March 7 a cargo of 210,000 barrels of petroleum products (diesel, gasoline and kerosene) and next two orders totaling 500,000 barrels were confirmed.

In addition, Eustache Saint-Lot, the Director of BMPAD inform the general public and interested parties in particular that the accumulation of eight months' arrears to the Venezuelan Supplier, July 2015 to today, is due to the scarcity of foreign currency in the local market ensuring that "The money paid during that period by the oil companies is available".

It should be noted that the bills of August are being paid and that negotiations are underway with the Venezuelan supplier for payment of the sums remaining.
