Monday, at the closing activities that marked the World Day of Civil Protection, the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) gave the official launch of a Photo Contest on disaster preparedness with the theme "An n pare n".

This contest, which will take place exclusively on the social network Instagram, target two categories :

Families across the country and organizations involved in reducing disaster risk in Haiti (except civil protection structures).

Participants are invited to photograph and publish on Instagram platform, one or more photographs showing respectively : an action of preparation performed by the family [Category I] or achievement to reduce the vulnerability of a community to disaster risk [Category II]. They will have to add to every photo posted, the hashtag #‎annparen and @pwoteksyon_sivil

The contest extends from Monday 7 to Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at midnight (Haiti time).

Winners will be announced Friday, March 25. A bonus of $ 10,000 gourdes and a recognition plaque will be awarded respectively to the winner in each category.

Initially, Internet users will indicate their preference by clicking "Like" on the photos of their choice. The jury then will complete the selection, which will be visible at : www.instagram.com/explore/tags/annparen/
