Haiti - Sports : Karate and Volleyball at the School Games program 2015-2016

Saturday at the Gymnasium Vincent, Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), attended an evaluation session of Karate trainings that perform since 3 months dozens of students of Lycées Pétion, Daniel Fignolé and Marie-Jeanne under the 2015-2016 School Games.

The Minister Albert took the time to observe the 50 boys and 30 girls who train since December 2015 under the direction of Jean Reynold Joseph and World Champion, Darline Jean Marie in preparation for competitions of Karate of School Games. He congratulated the instructors and young people, especially girls choosing to practice Karate, a combat sport.

Moreover, he praised and encouraged young players from two of Volleyball teams who participate in school competitions organized jointly with the Haitian Federation of Volleyball (FHVB).

Additionally to Volleyball and the Karate the School Games 2015-2016 that will end in June 2016, include among other disciplines: football, athletics, basketball, Checkers, Chess... This series of visits started on Friday at the Carrefour Sports Center allows the Minister Albert ensure the smooth running of the School Games and to encourage young people to the healthy of sport.
