After deliberation in the Council of Ministers, are declared statutory holidays and non-working for purposes of the festivities of the National Carnival 2016 which begin Sunday, February 7: the day of Monday, February 8, 2016 at noon and the day of Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in its entirety.

Text of the Order :

"Given the Constitution, in particular Articles 215 and 275-2;

Given the Law of 13 July 1926 regulating the holidays;

Given the Labour Code;

Given the Decree of 23 May 1989 determining, apart from national holidays, more precisely the Legal holidays;

Given the Law of 29 November 1994 establishing the organization and functioning of the National Police;

Given the Decree of 11 May 2005 on the State's Central Administration of organization;

Given the Decree of 17 May 2005 amending the General Civil Service Statute;

Considering that the National Carnival, as a great traditional event, folk and popular, is an event attracting many spectators, participants and tourists, and contributes significantly to the promotion of the various elements of the national culture and the entry of foreign currency in the country ;

Considering the desirability of the unemployment prescribe of Government and private, Trade and Industry on the occasion of the National Carnival festivities;

On the report of the Ministers of Justice and Public Security, Tourism and Creative Industries, Social Affairs and Labour, Interior and Territorial Communities, Trade and Industry, Culture, and Communication;

And after deliberation in the Council of Ministers ;

ORDERS

Article 1.- are declared statutory holidays and non-working for purposes of the National Carnival festivities:

1. The day of Monday, February 8, 2016, at noon;

2. The day of Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in its entirety.

Article 2. The Public Services, Schools, Trade and Industry willnot work in accordance with the provisions of Article 1.

Article 3. This Order will be printed, published and executed at the behest of the Ministers of Justice and Public Security, Tourism and Creative Industries, Social Affairs and Labour, Interior and Territorial Communities, Trade and Industry, Culture, and Communication, each in relation to it.
